✨ 10 years of my counselling business ✨

I’ve been a little quiet on social media lately and my website blog, and I wanted to acknowledge that.
The truth is, I’ve been experiencing burnout, and stepping back from creating social content has been something I’ve needed to do to look after myself and be able to find a balance between work and personal life.
Sometimes, even when we spend our working lives supporting others, we need to give ourselves permission to pause, take a breath and focus on our own wellbeing.
But this month there’s a milestone that feels like a moment worth marking.
I’m celebrating 10 years of my counselling business! 🎉
Ten years of supporting people within private practice through life’s challenges, holding space for difficult emotions, witnessing growth and change, and being trusted to walk alongside people during some of their most vulnerable moments.
I feel incredibly grateful for every person who has placed their trust in me, for the connections I’ve made along the way, and for the privilege of doing work that continues to mean so much to me.
The past ten years have brought so much learning, growth and change, both professionally and personally. They’ve also reminded me how important it is to practise what I often encourage others to do: listen to yourself, recognise your limits and allow yourself the space you need.
So, although I may not have been showing up here much lately, I am still here, still valuing the work I do, and taking the time I need to look after myself, too.
Here’s to 10 years of Towards Change; counselling, to everyone who has been part of the journey, and to finding a way forward that feels sustainable, meaningful and true to who I am.
Thank you for being here. ❤️
